Introducing CeramXpert’s 99% Alumina Cylindrical Crucibles with Threaded Lid
Our high-purity Al₂O₃ (>99%) crucibles are precision-made using a slip-casting process, giving high density and smooth, uniform surfaces inside and out. The threaded lid offers a relatively sealed design to reduce contamination and sample loss during high-temperature experiments.
✅ Key Features:
- Continuous use up to 1600°C
- Ideal for controlled reactions, heat treatment, and research applications
- Available sizes:
- 14 × 25 mm
- 25 × 30 mm
- 36 × 39 mm
- 63.5 × 60 mm
- 71.2 × 157.6 mm
- Material: Alumina Ceramic, 99% purity, White
💡 Important Usage Guidelines:
- Pre-dry at 105°C for 120 min before first use
- Avoid direct flame contact or rapid temperature changes
- Maintain at least 2 cm clearance from heating elements
- Controlled heating/cooling rates:
- ≤5°C/min below 1200°C
- ≤4°C/min above 1200°C
- Elevate large crucibles using heat-resistant plates to improve airflow and lifespan
🧪 Cleaning & Safety Tips:
Safe options:
- Deionized/distilled water for general rinsing
- Dilute HCl (≤10%) for metal oxides
- Dilute HNO₃ (≤10%) for tough metal salts
- Dilute NaOH (≤5%) for acidic organic residues
❌ Chemicals to avoid:
- Hydrofluoric acid
- Concentrated acids or bases
- Strong oxidizing organic solvents
⚠️ Note: Crucibles are relatively sealed, not fully airtight, and do not have a gasket. Sealing and heating in ambient air may create excessive internal pressure—please handle with care.
