CeramXpert’s Partitioned Alumina Square Boat: Precision for High-Temperature Applications
Our Partitioned Alumina Square Boat is designed to meet the needs of demanding high-temperature environments, with three isolated compartments for effective sample separation. Crafted from high-purity alumina (Al₂O₃ > 99%) using a slip-casting process, this boat offers exceptional density and smooth, even surfaces for reliable, long-term performance.
Key Features:
- Material: 99% Alumina (Al₂O₃)
- Maximum Operating Temperature: 1600°C
- Firing Temperature: 1800°C
- Outer Dimensions (L × W × H): 80 × 82 × 23 mm
- Compartments: 3
This alumina square boat ensures excellent thermal stability, making it ideal for metal and non-metal sample analysis, melting, and thermal processing in both laboratory and industrial applications.
Package: 1 piece per pack
Usage Precautions:
- Pre-drying: Before first use, pre-dry the crucible in an oven at ~105°C for 2 hours.
- Avoid Direct Flame: Do not use gasoline, acetylene torches, or alcohol lamps to heat, as uneven heating can cause cracks.
- Maintain Distance: Keep at least a 2 cm gap between the crucible and heating elements.
- Controlled Heating/Cooling Rates:
- Below 1200°C: ≤ 5°C per minute
- Above 1200°C: ≤ 4°C per minute
- Use controlled power cooling to prevent cracking from rapid cooling.
- For Large Crucibles: Use high-temperature-resistant materials like corundum plates for better air convection and uniform heating.
